Born in New York, but raised in the dirty south, YP Hoodrich, aka Young Polo, is known for the hit single “Get It Pooh ft. Trey Drizzle”, which took the internet by storm, but his beginnings started back in high school. Known only as “Polo” during his teen years because of the brand of clothing is was fond of, he chose to separate himself from other people of the same name and started calling himself “YP” for “Young Polo” since all the other rappers were older than him anyway. He added the “HoodRich” for the Hood Rich lifestyle he was living, even early on.
